A MIAM (Mediation Information Assessment Meeting) is designed to ensure that you have all the information you need about mediation and the alternatives to mediation that apply to your situation. The mediator will want to hear your issues and to talk to you about what it is you want to achieve.
If your mediator does not have an FMC registration, they cannot issue or sign Court Forms. It is therefore very important to check this.
Mediation can be completed in less time than court hearings, on average 110 days, compared with 435 days for non-mediated cases. Mediation's average timesaving is 325 days (10.5 months)!
